After the OTT release of Haq on Netflix, filmmaker Karan Johar took time to share his thoughts on the film.
Starring Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi and directed by Suparn S Verma the film premiered on January 2nd and has been receiving huge appreciation everywhere.
Karan elevated the performances of the actors and applauded the director for handling the subject in a decent way. He described Haq as a brave and important film.
On social media he especially praised Yami Gautam, calling her performance brilliant and path breaking. He said her expressions, silences and final monologue left a deep impact on him.
Karan also appreciated Suparn’s direction for keeping the emotions grounded without unnecessary drama.
Emraan was praised for delivering what Karan called one of the best performances of his career. He also congratulated the producers and the team.
